Last year, more than 1,300 companies and organisations used the Bike to Work campaign to provide their employees with an interesting activity during the working year and motivate them to adopt a healthier lifestyle. They also had the opportunity to see how an employee’s journey to work on two wheels can have a positive impact on their work performance and health.

  • Physical activity at the very beginning of a work day improves one’s performance by up to 15 % while decreases work-related errors by up to 27 %.

With the help of our sophisticated record-keeping system, your employees can not only register with the campaign, but they can also keep track of their commuter statistics. You, as an employer, will be able to oversee these statistics and have a chance to organise an internal company evaluation once the contest is over.

How can your company participate and what activities can you organise to support your employees in registering with the campaign?

The registration is free of charge. As soon as the first team of your employees enters the contest, your company will automatically be registered in the system. However, if you want to make sure that everyone knows about the contest and if you want to motivate people to register, you can do any and all of the following:

  1. Send out a mass email to your employees that encourages them to make teams of 2 – 4 people, all they need to do is register at (Note: If you want to organise an internal contest among your employees, tell them to make teams of the same size – e.g. teams of 4 members – which will unify the conditions among the teams and make it easier for you to evaluate the results)
  2. Select an employee to be in charge of co-ordinating the campaign within your company, someone who will encourage their colleagues to join the campaign and provide them with all necessary information. Subsequently, we will give this person access to all they need to know.
  3. Motivate your employees by purchasing the official campaign T-shirts for those who register. The cost of the designer bio-cotton T-shirts is only 12,60 euros with coupon!
  4. Turn the campaign into an internal company contest – award the best ones or draw a lottery after the contest is over!
  5. Motivate your employees by rewarding them if they register (with small items such as: bike light, bicycle repair tools, etc.)

Every team that registers under your company’s name will put your IČO in the registration form, which will allow us to filter out statistics pertaining solely to your company’s team(s) and which you can use for your internal purposes.

In addition, your company can also compete for an award at the national level in the category “Most Active Employer” and receive an award from the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic.
